New Columns

One of the details that we added to the house is to have columns and shelves built as a divider between the living room and dining room. However, we did not want to close the rooms in. We wanted the rooms to still have an open feel but be defined. This is what we got! They are just beautiful.

The Painters are working hard!

For the last two weeks, the painters have been working extremely hard. There is a lot that goes into prepping and painting an interior of a house. They have to scrap all the old paint off all the doors and trim, caulk every crevice in the house, place paper and painters tape up everywhere including the inside of the cabinets, prime the inside of the house and paint two coats of paint on every wall, ceiling and piece of trim. It is a lot of work to do in two weeks. Below are some photos through the different stages.

It is time for the Tile!

Guest Bath Shower
Guest Bath Floor
Master Bath Tub/Shower
Master Bath Floor

The tile was installed in both the master bathroom and guest bathroom. For the master bathroom, we choose a Travertine to be laid in a diagonal pattern for the floor and tumbled marble to be placed in a brick pattern for the shower. In addition, we choose accent mosaic tile for section of the shower wall.

In the guest bath, we choose the traditional white hexagon tile for this time period. The walls in the guest shower will have bright white ceramic subway tile laid in a brick pattern as well with glass mosaic tiles as an accent. In addition, the guest bath will have beadboard added after the tile installation is complete.

Trim & Garage Door are done

Today, the accent paint was completed around all the windows and the garage door was added. The garage door will eventually be the same color as the trim accent on the windows. I love these colors!!!
